Contacts

Add & edit a contact

Create a single contact and keep its details up to date.

Use this when you have one or a few contacts to add by hand. For a list, use Import contacts from a CSV.

Add a contact

  1. Open Contacts → Clients → New Client. Go to /admin/clients/new.
  2. Fill in the details. Give an email or a phone number — one of the two is required. Add name, date of birth, gender, location, occupation, company, and any custom fields you use.
  3. Assign segments (optional). Add the contact to one or more segments now, or do it later.
  4. Save.

There's no WhatsApp opt-in switch on this form. WhatsApp consent is recorded from a real opt-in — an inbound message, a wa_opt_in column on a CSV import, or the API — so you can't hand-set it here.

Edit a contact

Open any contact from the clients list to see their full profile: details, professional info, WhatsApp/email consent status, segment membership, campaign history, and automation enrollments. Use the Edit button to change their details; add or remove segments straight from the profile.

Editing a contact's email changes how they're matched on future imports. If two records are actually the same person, use Find & merge duplicates instead of editing.

Custom fields

Any field beyond the standard ones (email, name, phone, company, location, occupation, gender, date of birth) is a custom field. You can reference custom fields in email and WhatsApp templates and in dynamic segment rules.
