Add & edit a contact
Create a single contact and keep its details up to date.
Use this when you have one or a few contacts to add by hand. For a list, use Import contacts from a CSV.
Add a contact
- Open Contacts → Clients → New Client. Go to
/admin/clients/new. - Fill in the details. Give an email or a phone number — one of the two is required. Add name, date of birth, gender, location, occupation, company, and any custom fields you use.
- Assign segments (optional). Add the contact to one or more segments now, or do it later.
- Save.
There's no WhatsApp opt-in switch on this form. WhatsApp consent is recorded from a real opt-in — an inbound message, a wa_opt_in column on a CSV import, or the API — so you can't hand-set it here.
Edit a contact
Open any contact from the clients list to see their full profile: details, professional info, WhatsApp/email consent status, segment membership, campaign history, and automation enrollments. Use the Edit button to change their details; add or remove segments straight from the profile.
Editing a contact's email changes how they're matched on future imports. If two records are actually the same person, use Find & merge duplicates instead of editing.
Custom fields
Any field beyond the standard ones (email, name, phone, company, location, occupation, gender, date of birth) is a custom field. You can reference custom fields in email and WhatsApp templates and in dynamic segment rules.
