Connect Google Calendar

Mirror WhatsApp appointment bookings into a Google Calendar.

View as Markdown

Connecting Google Calendar mirrors WhatsApp appointment bookings onto a calendar of your choice. Every confirmed booking for a service you opt in becomes a calendar event.

This sync is one-way: a HexaFloww booking creates a Google Calendar event, but a Google Calendar event never blocks a booking slot.

Before you start

  • You need the Admin or Manager role.
  • You need a Google account with a calendar you can write to.
  • WhatsApp appointment booking should already be set up — see Appointment booking & reminders.

Connect a calendar

  1. Open the Google Calendar connect page. Sidebar → Connect AccountsGoogle Calendar, or go to /admin/connect-accounts/google-calendar.

  2. Sign in with Google. Click connect and approve calendar access.

  3. Choose which calendar to use. Pick one writable calendar. All synced bookings go onto this calendar.

  4. Turn on sync per booking service. Open a booking service under /admin/whatsapp/booking and switch on Google Calendar sync in its settings. Turning it on back-fills every upcoming confirmed booking for that service.

Common problems

  • Events stopped appearing — the Google token was revoked, so the connection shows an error and sync pauses. Reconnect from this page; failed syncs retry automatically afterwards.
  • Only some bookings show up — sync is only on for some services. Enable it on each booking service you want mirrored.
