# AI Marketing Assistant

The AI Marketing Assistant (`/admin/ai-chat`) is a chat you can ask to look things up and help set things up — "how did last month's campaign do?", "draft a WhatsApp template for a sale", "which contacts haven't opened anything in 60 days?".

## Using it

Type a request. The assistant can read your data (contacts, campaigns, analytics) and answer, or propose an action. **Actions that change something show a confirmation card first** — nothing is created or sent without you approving it.

## Connecting an AI provider

AI features (the assistant, auto-reply, lead detection, suggestions) need an AI provider.

- Your HexaFloww plan may include a shared provider — in that case AI works out of the box and usage draws on your [AI credits](https://hexafloww.com/docs/getting-started/plan-billing-credits.md).
- Or connect **your own key** at `/admin/settings/ai` (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or Perplexity). The model list is fetched live from the provider. With your own key, you're billed by that provider directly.

## AI usage

Every AI action consumes credits, based on how many tokens it uses — a minimum of one per call, more for a long analysis or a big generation. The header shows your balance; buy more from the credits chip or the Billing page.

> When credits run out, AI features pause until the next cycle reset or a top-up. Non-AI features are unaffected.
